Job Description
Are you passionate about providing exceptional technical support in a dynamic data center environment? Flexential is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician I to join our team. In this 24x7x365 role, you will be responsible for offering physical and Level II technical support to our customers and resources. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. As a Data Center Operations Technician I, you will represent Flexential professionally and technically during customer interactions and internal engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while performing data center duties.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Flexential ticketing system.
- Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
- Perform remote hands work for internal and external customers.
- Assist and complete physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding areas.
- Operate and manage Badge Access Security System.
- Perform Facilities Rounds and escalate relevant information.
- Process inbound and outbound shipping/receiving.
- Assist Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) as needed.
- Work with local management to maintain inventory levels.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for providing exceptional customer experience.
- Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter and motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Prefer 1 year of IT Support experience.
- AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
- Network +, Security +, CCNA desired.
- Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of physical requirements such as climbing ladders and working aloft.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Capability to lift heavy objects and install cabling.
