Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, promoting the bank's lending services, and catering to the financial needs of the community. Your efforts will contribute to improving the financial well-being of our employees, shareholders, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit mortgage and home equity loans through various referral partners and community engagements.
• Meet with customers to complete loan applications and provide necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and government regulations.
• Screen loan requests, propose loan options, and communicate approvals or denials effectively.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and advise senior management accordingly.
• Participate in local business and community activities to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance (or equivalent work experience).
• In-depth knowledge of banking industry practices, compliance requirements, and Fair Lending laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with strong data entry and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
