Job Description - 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

We are currently seeking Full-Time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handlers to join our team at Aldi. From 7:00 AM start time, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming stock, relocating merchandise, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse standards. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Select and receive incoming stock accurately to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to handling guidelines.
• Load, unload, and strategically organize merchandise for shipment.
• Perform general warehouse cleaning and maintain safety standards.
• Participate in inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
• Offer input to improve warehouse processes.
• Inspect product quality, address safety concerns, and adhere to sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment safely and follow ergonomic guidelines.
• Execute tasks accurately and efficiently within company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret company policies and apply procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions.
• Capability to work independently and within a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.
• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse and prepare for deliveries.
• Perform various physical activities like bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Work in varying temperatures and operate industrial equipment safely.
