1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are hiring for the position of 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler at ALDI. This is a full-time role with an average of 30-35 hours per week and a starting wage ranging from $19.50 to $23.50 per hour, based on shift and schedule differential pay. The selected candidate will be responsible for selecting, receiving, relocating, sorting, loading, unloading, and cleaning merchandise in the warehouse. They will also participate in inventory counts, cooperate with peers and suppliers, and provide input for process improvement. Additionally, the role involves inspecting products, achieving budget goals, operating equipment safely, and following ergonomic procedures.

Job Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate competencies in quality, safety, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, success orientation, efficiency, and organization. Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required include interpreting and applying company policies, excellent communication, basic arithmetic, attention to detail, and team collaboration. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role involves lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds, moving merchandise, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking. Candidates must be able to work in varying temperatures, hot and cold environments, and operate powered industrial equipment.
