Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist with key store management responsibilities, supervise daily store activities, ensure overall store performance, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 38 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $24.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance operating results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
- Ensure adherence to company strategy and values to foster teamwork.
- Monitor competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide product feedback and recommendations.
- Participate in store personnel interviews.
- Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control compliance.
- Resolve operational customer concerns and maintain store equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness standards, proper stock levels, and product merchandising.
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of responsibilities for excellent customer service.
- Comply with company policies and uphold document security.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in retail management and budgeting preferred.
- Proficient in operating equipment and cash registers.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years retail experience; management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of retail operations and management principles.
