Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national scale, collaborating with divisional teams to evaluate bids and ensure cost efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of construction documents and hold an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your efforts will contribute to aligning construction costs with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Construction Managers on negotiation points with contractors.
• Collaborate with the Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager to determine appropriate scopes for clarification or revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistent pricing structures.
• Prepare detailed bid analysis reports for project award decisions.
• Track and report pricing data to the National Real Estate Project Manager quarterly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and anomalies in construction proposals.
• Conduct material takeoffs to validate quantities and pricing alignment.
• Review contract pricing and market pricing for critical trades.
• Assist in team training and development.
• Ensure security and confidentiality of documents and data.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
