Job Description
Join our team at ALDI as a Customer Service and Stock Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Execute customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support the shopping needs of customers
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies, maintain document security, and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service
- Skilled in operating a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Ability to use equipment such as hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
- Experience in cleaning tasks according to company standards
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior retail work experience (preferred)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
