Director Toxicology

Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified Director of Toxicology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming patients' lives through innovative medicines. As the Director, you will be responsible for managing global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology for the Jazz portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing expertise on drug development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage direct reports in designing and conducting toxicology studies.
• Support regulatory submissions by drafting nonclinical sections and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor and analyze nonclinical studies at external CROs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide input on discovery and nonclinical development strategies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to integrate toxicology activities into project plans.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field with 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience in managing toxicology studies, CRO interactions, and regulatory submissions.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH regulations.
• Excellent communication and writing skills for scientific reports and regulatory documents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $192,000-$288,000 annually, with additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k plan, and paid vacation.
