We are currently looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. The ideal candidate will manage personnel, ensure high cleaning standards, and address housekeeping-related issues efficiently.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create daily assignments and plans for housekeeping staff.
• Supervise and monitor Room Inspectors, Housemen, and other cleaning staff.
• Interview, hire, train, and schedule department personnel.
• Handle guest complaints, maintain inventory, and test new products for housekeeping.
• Inspect guest rooms daily, oversee storage areas, and adhere to safety standards.
• Coach, counsel, and motivate employees for exceptional service.

Position Directly Supervises:

• Room Inspectors
• Room Attendants
• Housemen
• Night Housemen
• Laundry Attendant

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
• Detail-oriented in room inspections.
• Teamwork-oriented to maintain a productive staff.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma required; 3+ years of hotel operations experience preferred.

Skills:

Strong language skills, reasoning abilities, and proficiency in computer programs.

Physical Demands:

Requires physical mobility, lifting, and the ability to work in different environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and occasionally stressful environment.
