Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join the University of Vermont Health Network Hospice & Palliative Care team. As an LNA, you will provide essential hands-on care to terminally ill patients at the McClure Miller Respite House and in their homes, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Your role will involve building trusting relationships, educating and supporting families, and working collaboratively with a compassionate care team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care to terminally ill patients, emphasizing physical and emotional well-being.
  • Establish trusting relationships with patients based on empathy, understanding, and respect.
  • Educate and support families, providing guidance and comfort.
  • Collaborate with a team dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Active Vermont Nursing Assistant license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to compassionate care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
