Job Description
Join Jazz Pharmaceuticals as the Oncology Account Manager for the Lehigh Valley area. This pivotal role involves direct promotion of our innovative oncology products and the development of crucial business relationships with therapeutic specialists in the territory. As an integral part of our commercial team, you will drive the implementation of marketing strategies and tactics to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Promote Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ Adult Oncology products to healthcare providers within the designated area, including Community Oncology and Academic Centers.
- Educate healthcare professionals on our products, ensuring they are informed about approved indications.
- Achieve sales forecasts and targets while organizing medical and product information exchanges within compliance guidelines.
- Analyze territory for market trends, work closely with Technical Staff to boost product revenue, and adapt plans to achieve objectives effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key physicians and healthcare professionals in the territory.
- Support the company's sales strategy, present a positive image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and ensure all activities adhere to ethical pharmaceutical marketing practices.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned and comply with all legal and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Four-year college/university degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in selling in Oncology with strong product knowledge desired.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to excel in a team environment and travel as needed for territorial requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Post-graduate business school study, training.
- 5 years pharmaceutical specialty sales experience or 3 years of straight Oncology sales experience.
- Experience with Hematology, Solid tumor sales, AML, Lung Cancer, and Community Oncology preferred.
- Key Account knowledge strongly desired.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent travel between meeting sites and operation of office machinery.
- Interactions in office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, etc.
- Occasional work outside of normal hours and public contact requiring business attire.
