Operations Supervisor I - Denver, CO

Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor I based in Denver, CO to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As part of one of the country's largest LTL carriers, you will play a crucial role in supervising and controlling resources to ensure timely, safe, and damage-free loading/unloading of freight.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for efficient freight handling on assigned shifts.
• Maintain load balance and proper load plans for safe operation.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide necessary training and feedback.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, especially for hazardous materials handling.
• Collaborate in a team environment to achieve department goals.
• Support a values-driven culture emphasizing creativity, integrity, and collaboration.
• Additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in transportation and supervisory roles a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of freight handling techniques.
