Patient Care Tech / PCT Med Surg - Great Benefits

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our Med Surg team at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing. This is a full-time position on day shift in Cushing, OK. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including meal delivery, turning, and ambulating.
• Help patients with personal hygiene tasks such as baths, shampoos, and showers.
• Provide adjunct care to patients, which may include applying ice packs and non-sterile dressings.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient charts.
• Support nurses and medical staff as necessary, following all professional standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Competency in at least two general areas of practice, with the ability to cover multiple roles.
• Must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in acute or long-term care; completion of CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification; or enrollment in nursing school.
