Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and facilitate a cooperative work environment.
• Collect specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prioritize workload and assist colleagues as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for specimen handling and transport.
• Perform specimen accessioning and drug screen collection.
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Promote service excellence and support laboratory growth.
• Work with various departments within the healthcare system.
• Perform arterial punctures as required.
• Adhere to infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred: Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or relevant experience in a clinical setting.
