Responsibilities

• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate relevant data effectively with care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate competency in following protocols and directions.
• Assist colleagues to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Follow proper protocols for specimen packaging and transport.
• Perform specimen accessioning and infection control practices.
• Collect and process drug screens as required.

• Ensure quality patient care and promote service excellence.
• Collaborate with various departments within the hospital.
• Perform arterial punctures and demonstrate infection control practices.
• Complete assigned duties with accountability and professionalism.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinical experience or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Experience working in a clinical setting.
