Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network. As a member of the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients throughout their perioperative journey. Your responsibilities will include pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure evaluation, pain management, complication prevention, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinated management of patients before, during, and after surgical/invasive procedures.
• Competency in two of the following areas: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Physical/pre-placement screening compliance.
• Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience; Critical Care experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required; PALS within 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Competent in IV therapy, venipuncture, and willing to learn new skills.

Additional Information

• Call duty as per schedule.
• $10,000 sign-on bonus (prorated for part-time).
