Semi-Truck and Trailer Mechanic

Job Description

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking a skilled Semi-Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our experienced team. As a mechanic at a fast-growing fleet maintenance network, you will be responsible for performing repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. From brakes and diagnostics to electrical systems and tires, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on trucks and trailers, including brakes, A/C systems, engine components, and more.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and obtain parts from local vendors.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other necessary documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of diesel and trailer repair experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work flexible hours.
• Proficiency in electronic processing of work orders and basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications and welding experience are a plus.
• CDL is advantageous.
